The word “finals” strikes fear into every college student’s hearts, but there is also the joy and relief that comes after they are finished. With finals quickly approaching, students are making a last ditch effort to save their grades.
With this week being “dead week”, the week before finals when no tests are scheduled, students are working diligently on last minute assignments and extra credit work before the end of the semester. I spoke to Senior communication major Brooke Robichaux who had this to say, “I’m so busy with projects due this week, I haven’t had any time to think about finals yet.”
Finals are a culmination of the whole semester, where students are tested on material they’ve learned throughout their courses. They usually count for a high percentage of the class grade and are sometimes cumulative.
Finals will take place from Dec. 5-8. Please check the University Exam Schedule for more information on finals times and dates.
