[HAMMOND]- Southeastern’s ALPHA PHI ALPHA FRATENITY, INC planned there semester a little different than usual, starting with a public meeting discussing how to get people to register to vote. The meeting was held on Feb. 8. They plan to continue to meet the first week in March from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. every Wednesday. There will be a table in the Student Union.
This semester’s events will consist of two great qualities to make sure people are educated about voting and giving others a better understanding about the organization. The name of the event will be called “A Voteless People is a Hopeless People.”
“A Voteless People is a Hopeless People” is open to anyone from Southeastern students all the way to local high school graduates. Patrick Chaney said, “We as an organization have to be registered to vote in order to join the fraternity.”
Kristopher Johnson Commit chairman said, “Hopefully this will change the minds of people with deep opinions with no energy to get out and change the views.”
This grand project will also carry on to the next semester for the incoming freshmen. So spread the word about this amazing and positive affair.
