[HAMMOND]- Southeastern Louisiana University’s Student Government Association is holding their spring election from Monday, March 12 at 8 a.m. through Wednesday, March 14 at 3 p.m.
In order to vote, “students at SLU can enter their W number and password by accessing SGA’s Online Election System found at: https://www2.selu.edu/StudentAffairs/SGA/elections/student/index.php” said Hunter Robinson, an SGA Senate member.
Chief Justice member, Will Takewell, reported the voting results from Monday’s SGA meeting. He said, “over 400 students have voted in the past few hours, and I encourage every member to spread the news by e-mailing their classmates.” Takewell also said that the “SGA debate on March 6 was successful.”
SGA Senator, Sandreaka Gatlin, explained the six different categories in the election: “President, Vice President, Chief Justice, Senate, At Large, and Judicial.” There are a total of 29 students running for office.
Students who need assistance voting may contact or visit the Student Government Association Office — (985) 549-2296, Student Union Room 207 — from 7:45 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
