Praise N Motion: Girl Talk

Southeastern organization Praise N Motion is hosting their first ever “Girl Talk” forum event this month.

The night event is a panel discussion with guest speakers who will do discussions on hot topics and women issues. They will also address panel topics.

Discussion topics will include identity, self-esteem, character and attitude. Questions from the audience will be answered in an open discussion.

“The main purpose for the event is to empower girls and to encourage their lives.  We want the environment to be comfortable, so we are asking the girls to bring a pillow and blanket,” said Praise N Motion President, Ariel Green.

Speakers for this invite are: Baton Rouge dance instructor Winter McCray, owner of Winter Dance Company; First Lady Iris J. Williams of Beacon Light Church in Baton Rouge and Claudia Reed, off-campus advisor for Praise N Motion.

This event will be held Wednesday, November 18, in the Pennington Recreation Center Room 108, 7-9:00 p.m.  It is free to attend and light refreshments will be served.

The dance organization will perform at Good News Baptist Church, 2301 Painters Street in New Orleans for their church anniversary Sunday, Nov. 22 at 11 a.m.
