On Nov. 13 Order of Omega elected its new Executive Committee for the upcoming spring semester. President Katie Williams, Vice President Alex Gandolfi, Secretary Evan Lapeyrouse and Treasurer Lauren Lambert were the elected positions.
Past Order of Omega President Harli Manuel was in charge of running the organization’s first meeting of the semester, the retreat and the election process.
“We had a great turnout for the meeting. We were only missing a few members and at least three people ran for each position. I was very pleased with the election this year,” said Manuel.
The organization’s main purpose is to plan and orchestrate Southeastern’s Greek Week. Harli said she had a great experience last year as Order of Omega president and looks forward to what the newly elected members will do.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my time as president of Order of Omega. Greek life is something I am very passionate about, and I loved having the opportunity to serve not only my own chapter but be a part of the betterment of Greek life as a whole,” said Manuel.
Newly elected President Katie Williams is also a member of Phi Mu Fraternity at Southeastern.
“I am extremely honored to serve as president of Order of Omega. I will strive to encourage Greek unite and equality while maintaining healthy competition. I am excited for the opportunities Order of Omega will bring to SELU Greek Life,” said Williams.
Greek Week will begin next year during the spring semester.
