The Southeastern Lions swept the University of New Orleans Privateers in the Pontchartrain Bowl this past weekend.
Lions continued their winning season defeating The University of New Orleans Privateers Friday,
8-0, Saturday, 8-3 and Sunday, 4-2. The Privateers brought their best game, but could not keep up with the Lions and their hefty line up.
On Friday with Mac Sceroler on the mound, the Privateers were held scoreless, while the Lions played effortlessly resulting in a shutout in favor of Southeastern.
Saturday, while still resulting in a major win for Southeastern, the Lions remained scoreless until the bottom of the 5th inning. The Lions then put their rally caps on and finished the game with a score of 8-3.
Sunday finished the series with a final win against The University of New Orleans at 4-2. They lengthened their streak to seven and remain undefeated in the Southland Conference. Wade Granier finished the game strong showing that the Lions are an absolute powerhouse in their conference.
If the Lions continue winning, at this rate, they could have a shot at potentially achieving every team’s goal, playing at the National Championship.
