[HAMMOND]- On Friday, March 27th the Total Chaos Party will be held at the University Center on Southeastern Louisiana University’s campus. This event will host students as well as many of the organizations on campus, all in hopes of throwing the event of the Spring season. Total Chaos has been the “buzz” around campus since the beginning of the new semester.
“I’ve watched my older sister prepare for this party several times. Now its my turn to get pampered.” stated Southeastern, freshman, Deranda Griffin. The event’s dress code for students is open but most students dress to impress in celebration of The Total Chaos party being held after mid-terms. The party acts as a stress reliever for students who attend.
This event gets it’s publicity from social networks such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and is even on the school’s calendar as an official event. Due to modern technology, many students own at least two social network apps, so there hasn’t been any trouble spreading the word.
“ I’ve always heard about the Total Chaos Party, but never attended. Now that I see it all over my twitter, Instagram, and snap chat. I wouldn’t dare miss buying my tickets on time, this is the second biggest event since homecoming.” said Southeastern, Junior, Layla Clark.
Some students anticipate that this year’s Total Chaos will be even larger than last year. The news that this years event has also been opened to other students and universities makes Southeastern’s attendees very anxious. Within the past weeks students from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Louisiana State University and Southern University have begun purchasing their tickets while ticket sales were open.
In preparation for the party, there will be I.D checks at the doors for underage students and security will be strictly enforced. “ The Total Chaos has kept its buzz. Even when everyone came back to our campus the weekend after it was over.” Southern University, Freshman, Ladaisha Diamond says.
Several students say that the incoming freshmen of next year will bring new life to next year’s party and let’s hope the 2015 Freshmen will be ready to bring it!
