Free Gifts for Your Birthday

From makeup to cookies, there are dozens of possibilities for free presents from businesses and corporations that anyone can get if they simply say “Its my birthday.”

The Statista Research Department conducted a survey in the United States in 2018 on the average spending per child on a birthday stating, “31 percent of respondents stated that they spend $51 up to $100 per child on a child’s birthday.” However, there are many free alternatives to birthday celebrations.

Many people go out to a celebratory dinner or lunch for their birthdays and expect only a free scoop of ice cream and dancers to come out clapping, but many restaurants give away free items of food without having to sign up for anything.

The morning of the birthday can be celebrated in many different ways. For breakfast, Waffle House offers the birthday boy or girl a free waffle while Starbucks offers a free small drink both with no purchase necessary.

If it’s a free lunch or dinner you’re after, Buffalo Wild Wings gives a birthday freebie of snack-size wings when signing up for Blazin’ Rewards, or Subway offers a free 6-inch sub and drink on your birthday. There are also no purchases necessary for these birthday rewards.

At Bjs, a free pizookie dessert topped with ice cream is brought out to the birthday boy or girl for no extra charge and no other purchase necessary.

In between the free meals, there are many places to shop for cute clothes and accessories for birthday celebrations.

The American Eagle Connected loyalty program will give a 15 percent off birthday coupon by email at the beginning of a person’s birthday month. This coupon can be used once and will deduct 15 percent from a single total purchase online at AE.com, Aerie.com or American Eagle stores.

Ulta’s “Ultamate” Rewards program gives its members a free birthday gift. You must be signed up to receive Ulta Beauty emails to get your birthday gift coupon, and the gift changes every year.

If there won’t be a party this year due to covid guidelines, there are many free gifts companies are willing to give to the birthday celebrant.
