The time for scheduling is here and the Department of Languages and Communication is offering many different classes for the fall semester. For juniors and seniors, Small Group Communication is one of the few culture courses being offered in the fall.
Comm 418 will not only explore the dynamics of small group communication, but also discuss the role of leadership, the importance of decision-making, and the necessity of groups within larger organizations. Small group communication is a vital component of businesses because organizations group employees together to foster creativity and improve efficiency. This course is going to help students develop the skills needed to succeed in future employment opportunities.
For the fall semester, Comm 418 will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-1:45 with Dr. Barbara Overton. Dr. Overton is a communication expert and her classes are always worthwhile. Attendance is considered to be mandatory and will be factored into your grade. The class is lecture based and will take place in room 385 in D Vickers. You must be considered a junior or senior to be eligible to take Comm 418. Be sure to add this class to your shopping cart if you are interested. If you have any questions, please see your advisor in the advising office in 223 D Vickers. Advisors are available from 7:30 to 5 Monday–Thursday and 7:30 to 12:30 on Friday.
