As the semester is rapidly closing, everyone is scrambling to find the best communication classes to fill their online carts with. Students should keep their eyes and ears open for a chance to sign up for COMM 417, commonly known as web design, taught by Dr. Burns. Knowing how to make your own website is something that any prospective employer would be excited to see on your resume.
COMM 417 will give you the tools and instruction needed to create fully operational websites. Not only will Dr. Burns teach you how to create a website, but he will also provide instructions for creating a professional looking template website. If you have ever been interested in learning how to craft your own website by using code, then this is the class for you. The class is structured in a way that allows students to do most of their work inside of the classroom. In addition to the low amount of homework, there are no tests given in this class. There will be small assignments throughout the semester and most points can be earned from two websites that are created at the end of the semester.
In the upcoming Fall semester, COMM 417 will be offered on Mondays and Wednesdays at 11 a.m. If you have any questions relating to the class, Dr. Burns will be happy to answer them for you.
