BEA Video Game Tournament!

On March 16, Southeastern’s Broadcast Education Association will be hosting a video game tournament in the Student Union at 7 p.m.

This year’s tournament will include popular games like Halo, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, and more. The competitions will be in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Halo 3, Mortal Kombat and Mario Kart 8.

The event will take place in multiple rooms in the Student Union. Karaoke will take place in Room 2202, Room 2204 is the freeplay room, food will be in Room 2205, Room 2206 will have board games, and 2207 will be where the video game competitions take place. Winners in the competition could win pop figures, movie passes and posters.

For those who want to play freeplay games, it will only cost $5, but $10 for those who want to compete.

President of the Broadcast Education Association Courtney Bruno said, “This event is the first fundraiser for the club. It is going to be fun because it is the members who are going to make the event great. I have confidence that our members will make it a great time for everyone.”

Jake Frelich, a junior OSHE major, said, “This will be my first BEA event to attend, but I am excited to see their hard work pay off.”
