The final deadline for December 2010 graduation applications and payments is Sept. 15. Applications will not be accepted after this date.
An application fee of $35 must be paid directly in the Controller’s Office on North Campus in the Financial Aid Building. Graduating students can apply by logging into their Leonet account and click on “apply for graduation.”
Remember to complete the Southeastern Exit Survey at the end of the application. Graduating students must pay a separate fee at the University Bookstore and obtain a cap and gown for the commencement exercises.
Adrienne Chambers, a senior who is graduating with a Bachelors Degree in General Studies at Southeastern, was able to pay her application fee early when it was $15. “I am very excited to be graduating from Southeastern this semester,” said Chambers. “The graduation application process was very easy.”
Deborah Johnson, a senior from Baton Rouge, was not able to pay her graduation application fees early, but she will before the final deadline. She said she has waited four long years to reach this point in her life. “It seems like only yesterday that I was just a freshman paying parking tickets; now I’m a senior paying graduation fees,” said Johnson.
Jeffery Davis, a senior from Denhem Springs who is graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, was glad there was an exit survey included at the end of the application.
“I was able to leave comments about my overall experience of being a student at Southeastern and the quality of faculty members” said Davis.
